The email size control is performed locally (on the Lotus Notes user workstations) so the emails do not need to be sent to the Domino server to be checked against the MK Email Size Limiter policies.
MK Email Size Limiter is 100% transparent to the Lotus Notes users, except when sending emails exceeding the limits defined by the Administrator. In this case a dialog is displayed informing the user that his/her email cannot be sent because its size exceeds the maximum email size limit. After this dialog is cleared, the email remains displayed at screen in edit mode, enabling the user to reduce its size by removing attached files, pictures and/or text.
The MK Email Size Limiter dialogs can be customized (the dialog texts are parameters of the product).
